A Whole Bunch More Projects...

Here are a whole bunch more projects that I finished before moving...

The first is a canvas that I made for grandbaby #3 (mentioned in an earlier post). As it turned out, she decided to share my birthday!

I made the hedgehog fuzzy- you can kind of see that in this picture.

The next project is an anniversary card and canvas that I made for my boyfriend for our 10-year dating anniversary.

I figured this canvas would look nice in his new man cave!

Shortly after our anniversary, it was Father's Day. A friend requested this card- can you guess what the present that went with it was??

(the saying here is actually a pocket to hold the money for the Playstation)

Another friend requested a canvas with her little one's footprints and a sweet saying. It was a challenge to paint a 1-year-old's feet and get good prints in the shape of a heart, but I think it turned out really well!

Finally, here are a few random cards. The first is a thank you card that I made for a family friend.

The next was made for someone who was leaving the company that my boyfriend works for.

And the last was a Father's Day card that I made to add to my 'for sale' stash.

That's it for this post, but I still have lots of projects to share, so I'll be posting again soon!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

It seems so strange to be posting about projects that I did way back in June! But here are a couple of pictures of the card I made for my mom's birthday last year:

This year (2014) is a milestone birthday for her, so we have much more exciting things planned than just a card... On the plus side, you only have to wait a couple more months to find out what! :)

Another project I finished last June was a group of graduation cards for a friend to give to her students at work. As it turns out, this was the first of many grad classes that I've made cards for- you'll see more of these cards in future posts!

These cards were a challenge to make because I'm used to making much more elaborate (and therefore costly) cards... It was fun getting back to basics with my stamping though!

I'm Back!

Hello everyone! It's been ages since my last post, and I've got lots of projects to share! I thought I'd start with one that puts a huge grin on my face- my very own craft room! I moved at the end of June last year, and the place we moved into is amazing, with space for me to have a craft room and my boyfriend to have a man cave. In my old place, when I crafted it often looked like this:

I called it the craft tornado! Ha ha. I would end up taking over my desk, the dining room table, and a lot of floor space too. I got even more creative when I had to make 75 wedding invitations and response cards in the middle of my big move, and did this:

It actually worked pretty well- I used the top of a disassembled desk that I bought second-hand before moving, and turned my bed into my work space! Unfortunately, that also meant a lot of clean-up had to be done before I was able to sleep...

When I got my new craft room, it looked like this:

Pretty boring...

I like colour, so I painted and decorated, and made it my own. Now it's a fun and organized space that inspires me to create! Here are some pics of what it looks like at the moment (it's always a work in progress, continually changing as I figure what I like, and what needs to be different...):

That's it for now- hope you enjoyed the tour! Stay tuned for more posts...

P.S.- The colourful shelves on the far right of the last picture are filled with cards that I've made up in hopes of selling!
